Wood oar, \'River Fish\'

Abstract motifs transform the blade of an oar into a fish with bright eyes and sharp yellow teeth. It replicates a Bacairi painting from the Alto Xing� culture of Maraj�, the world\'s largest freshwater island, located in the Amazon delta. Artisans from Par� carve it from Brazilian marupa wood; openings in the back facilitate wall display.
